Tackifiers, also known as adhesive
enhancers or film-forming agents, are additives that provide two types of properties to the lubricants or greases in which they are incorporated. Due to the chemical bonds that exist between the different atoms, they can bring a power of adhesion (on the surface where they are applied) or a power of cohesion.
Sulphur-containing additives are used in lubricating oils, hydraulic fluids, metalworking fluids and greases to provide extreme pressure (EP) and anti-wear (AW) properties. Their activity depends largely on the sulphur content and the type of sulphur compound.
At Lumar, our work is committed to sustainability, a way of acting and respecting the environment. That is why we help you formulate lubricants that are more environmentally sustainable.
The extensive catalogue of products that LUMAR offers its customers now includes a new AW/EP additive, EI SIULFADO 1717E by SEQENS.
